useful in prosecuting environmental criminal cases include
those in the following chart. Peace officers seeking to
work effectively in this area should continue to read
other provisions of the Health & Safety law as well as
other statutes. We would appreciate being notified
if you have discovered a good use for a law other than the
four primary ones commonly used, the Texas Outdoor Burning
rule, and these listed here.
Note that criminal
violations of many of the following, including the Health
& Safety Code, may also expose the violator to locally
imposed civil penalties under Sections 7.101 through 7.110
of the Texas Water Code, each day being a separate civil
violation. |
